Stories of community and solidarity are a vital part of the fabric of our identity as a nation.

The Tales of Community and Solidarity (ToCS) film competition wants to create the opportunity to collect and share digital stories of community and solidarity and develop storytelling techniques to share who we are and our victories and aspirations for our communities.

The digital age means we have new ways of sharing our experiences and recording them for future generations.

Supported by MEAA and Media Super, Tales of Community and Solidarity seeks to encourage workers and communities to tell their own stories of building community and solidarity.

Entries are now open for the competition.

Prizes will be awarded and the top ten entries in each category will be shown as a part of the Walkley Foundation’s Storyology 2016 program in August. A panel of esteemed film makers and stakeholders will judge the entries.

Past films, inspiration and film making advice as well as the Rules of Entry are available at https://www.facebook.com/TalesofCommunitySolidarity/.
