Launch of ‘Don’t Read the Comments’

MEAA and Gender Equity Victoria began working together on strategies to counter online gender-based abuse last year and after consulting with women journalists and media workers, have developed pragmatic strategies for media organisations to prevent and respond to gender-based abuse on their platforms.

Join us as we launch the new report, Don’t Read the Comments: Enhancing Online Safety for Women Working in the Media, and invite some very special guests to take part in a panel discussion surrounding what needs to be done to keep women safe online.

The report will be launched by The Hon. Gabrielle Williams, Victorian Minister for Women.
