All Women in Media and WA MEAA members are warmly invited to an event aimed at bridging the gap between research and practice, academia and industry. Yes – we’re coming out of our ‘ivory tower’ and want to meet you and share a festive season drink!
If you have a research idea you might need help with, would like to connect more with researchers in your area or simply would like to meet an actual academic in real life, please join us! The next WA Communication, Culture and Media (WACCM) initiative, which will be a networking and engagement event to discuss research engagement and impact with the media, cultural and related industry, government and community sectors.
How can academic research help support community needs and media, communication and cultural professionals working in industry, government and community?
What is university research for, and how can it be of more direct use to the community and professionals?
What are the needs of professionals and organisations? What kind of research is helpful and in what ways can we collaborate better to ensure benefits and good outcomes for all?
