Support ABC Staff Standing Up for Quality Public Broadcasting

ABC staff are taking 24-hour strike action from 11am Weds 25 Mar in a bid to secure sustainable jobs, fair pay and improved working conditions, and to protect the quality news and programming Australians rely on. 

After months of negotiations, workers at the ABC have been left with below‑inflation wages, ongoing job insecurity and growing workloads. These conditions threaten not only their livelihoods, but the quality of the news and programming Australians rely on. 

That’s why ABC staff are standing together and taking strike action. 

Why we’re asking for your support 

Industrial action comes at a personal cost. Staff who strike lose pay, even as they fight for fair wages, secure jobs and the resources needed to serve Australians. 

We are fundraising to: 

• Support ABC staff financially during strike action 

• Help ensure workers aren’t forced to choose between standing up for quality news and programming and paying their bills 

• Strengthen the collective effort to protect the ABC for future generations 

Every contribution, whether large or small, helps workers hold the line for a stronger, more sustainable public broadcaster.
