Stunt performer Grant Page to be honoured with Equity Lifetime Achievement Award
Legendary Australian stunt performer Grant Page is the recipient of the 2015 Equity Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Foxtel.
Grant’s career spans more than five decades and he has more than 200 Australian and international titles to his name, from “Mad Max” to “Mission Impossible 2”.
Actors Equity president Chloe Dallimore says that as well as lighting up the screen with state-of-the-art stunts, Grant is a well-known mentor and leader within industry, who champions safety and best practice at every opportunity.
“Stunt performers work diligently, modestly and often anonymously to deliver the emotional peak of a screen story, while keeping other performers and colleagues safe. Equity is so pleased to honour one of the world’s finest stunt performers with our Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a most deserving recipient.”
Grant helped to formulate the industry’s first Film Safety Code and initiated several innovative stunt techniques now adopted internationally. He is also the author of several works, including Man on Fire: A Stunt of a Life.

Grant was nominated by Australian performers and selected from many nominees by Equity’s National Performers Committee.
“His state-of-the-art practices, respect for safety, cool head and good grace are an inspiration to his peers and to those who have followed him into the industry.” says Dallimore.
This award was launched in 2009 with the generous support of Foxtel. Past recipients include Peter Carroll, the late Bob Hornery, Maggie Dence, Ron Haddrick, Kevan Johnston, Jill Perryman and Toni Lamond AM.
An awards ceremony will be held in Sydney in September.
