MEAA submission on Australian government whistleblower reforms

The failure to protect and support whistleblowers fundamentally threatens the important role the media plays in holding the powerful to account. MEAA believes a national whistleblowing protection body is necessary to encourage genuine whistleblowers to act in the public interest in government, private and not-for-profit sectors.
