Founded in 2008, Australian Community Managers (ACM) exists to support and advance the working lives of community professionals in Australia, and help grow the community industry in this region in conjunction with international peers.

Its membership of more than 4000 fill diverse roles across online communities in both private and public organisations and businesses around Australia.

Annual surveys conducted by ACM about the working realities of community professionals have uncovered challenges around compensation, hours worked, workload and online harassment.

To help address these issues and offer additional support and resources for Australian community professionals, MEAA has teamed up with ACM to create an affordable, custom membership for community managers. The cost of this offer is just $5.07 a week.

This partnership is an important next step in raising the profile of this growing profession and offering additional protections to its practitioners.

ACM members who join MEAA will have access to:

•  A regular e-bulletin with industry news and special offers
•  Industry advocacy for community managers
•  Professional development and networking events

To take advantage of this offer, sign up online by choosing the ACM option when prompted.
