Careers in transition: a special event for Sunday Times members

19/10/2016
6:00pm - 8:00pm
The Dominion League, downstairs.

As we get closer to the end of an era for the WA media landscape, we want to let you know that whatever you decide to do in the next stage of your career, MEAA will be with you every step on the way. To help you plan that next stage, we’re running a special seminar next week to equip you with some of the knowledge and tools you may need during this period of transition.

These sessions will be particularly useful for those who want to stay in the media and communications industry in another form or as a freelancer.  You’ll be able to hear from journalists who have established thriving freelance careers after taking a redundancy. Also on hand will be advice about superannuation and financial planning, as well as career development assistance and strategies.

This is an informal event and a drink will be provided on arrival.  Bookings essential. This is an event for MEAA members, so if you know a member who may also be interested please feel free to forward this invite to them.

Date: Wednesday, 19th October

Time: 6pm – 8pm

Location: The Dominion League, downstairs.

RSVP: tiffany.venning@meaa.org

Speakers: Tiffany Venning, regional director –  MEAA; Patrick Horneman, business development manager – Media Super; Gabrielle Campion, former journalist and editor – Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Courtney Waller, corporate videos and content marketing.
