Entries are open for Amnesty International Australia’s Media Awards, recognising excellence in reporting on human rights issues for items published or broadcast between 1 August 2016 and 1 August 2017.

The Media Awards, now in their fourth year, recognise the excellent work of Australian journalists in uncovering human rights violations, holding abusers to account, and telling sometimes difficult stories in engaging ways.  

Journalists, cartoonists, photographers and their producers and editors are encouraged to nominate pieces broadcast or published between 1 August 2016 and 1 August 2017. All work must be original.
