Sign up for the big 2016 election doorknock
Cast members of the ABC comedy hit Upper Middle Bogan show their support for the ABC.
On June 18, MEAA members will be joining other union members and volunteers for a big day of election doorknocking in the western Sydney-Blue Mountains seat of Macquarie.
The day of doorknocking will be held as part of the Hands Off Our ABC campaign, and MEAA members will be seeking to inform voters about the budget cuts to the ABC over the past few years and the urgency of restoring funding to the public broadcaster.
We want to send a big contingent to Macquarie on the day. We can arrange transport and communications materials. All you need is a cheery personality and a strong pair of legs.
The event begins at the Springwood Sports Club, 83 Macquarie Road, Springwood at 11.45am, and concludes at 4pm.
