Calling all Gippsland Women in Media!

Communicating in a digital age; what it means for work life balance, traditional storytelling and managing the personal versus the professional – September 16

How do you cut through in an era soaked in storytelling? A panel of Gippsland women, experienced in telling stories through print, broadcast and social media platforms will share their experiences at this regional event.

Women in Media Victoria, in partnership with Rural Press Club of Victoria is hosting a dinner event in Warragul featuring three inspiring women to talk about communicating in a digital age and work life balance.

The speakers are: former Latrobe Valley Express editor Lynne Smith who now is a trainer of journalists; Emily Rayner, who has worked at a high level in commercial radio in Melbourne and now oversees digital print and social media channels for Fairfax Media; and entrepreneur Julia Keady-Blanch, who spent the first decade of her career working in media and in the last last 10 years has worked on large-scale social change projects and developments. Your hosts are Walkley Award winning Weekly Times journalist Emma Field and ABC Gippsland chief of staff Laura Poole.
